Cary L. Flitter has built much of his
legal practice around litigating cases for consumers against debt
collectors, finance companies, insurance companies, car dealers and credit
reporting agencies. He has represented clients -- as individuals and in
class actions -- in consumer lending, unfair debt collection, vehicle
financing and leasing overcharges, credit reporting, credit privacy and
predatory lending cases.
Mr. Flitter also practices in commercial litigation matters
involving diverse issues of non-compete and unfair competition, employment
disputes, partnership and contract disputes, as well as personal injury
litigation.
Mr. Flitter, a Philadelphia native, received his law degree from
the Delaware Law School of Widener University and a bachelor’s degree in
Finance from the Philadelphia University. He is a graduate of the National
Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Currently, Mr. Flitter serves on the adjunct faculty at Widener
University School of Law teaching Consumer Law and Litigation. From 1991
to 1999, he served on the adjunct faculty at Philadelphia University
teaching Commercial Law. Mr. Flitter is a consultant to the media and a
lecturer around the country, educating lawyers and consumers about
consumer credit and consumer fraud, and how to enforce those rights in
court. He has published articles on consumer credit protection in
national, regional and local publications.
A founding partner in the firm Lundy, Flitter, Beldecos &
Berger, P.C., Mr. Flitter is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey
bars. He has more than 20 years of trial experience in federal and state
courts, both in the Delaware Valley and in courts throughout the United
States.
